Official Edsamail Advisory:
Brief Service Interruption as of October 24, 2005
Dear Valued Edsamail Subscriber,
We would like to inform you that there was a brief service interruption last weekend, October 22 - October 24, 2005 and an unscheduled maintenance by our IT had to be
conducted to resolve the following errors:
- Request to log-in username and password when connecting to the Edsamail Dial-Up
- ERROR MESSAGE (WEB MAIL): Transaction Failed. Server replied: 554 5.3.0 rewrite: map site1_a not found
- ERROR MESSAGE (OUTLOOK EXPRESS): The message could not be sent because one of the recipients was rejected by the server. The server rejected an Edsamail email
address.
After checking and testing, our service is now back to normal.Please restart your computer and re-launch Outlook Express.
If you are using a different Internet Service Provider (ISP) to access your Edsamail and you recieve this error:
"The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'mail.edsamail.com.ph', Server: 'mail.edsamail.com.ph', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10061,
Error Number: 0x800CCC0E"
- Restart your computer and re-launch Outlook Express
- If still unsuccessful, please check your firewall settings
- Check email via web mail, if successful, your other ISP might have restrictions in terms of access to their network.
